Billing and Fees

Clarence Town Healthcare operates as a mixed billing practice, with consultations primarily provided on a private billing basis. Consultation fees are payable at the time of the appointment directly to the treating doctor.

Accepted payment methods:

  • Cash
  • EFTPOS
  • Credit card (excluding American Express)

Where applicable, Medicare rebates can be submitted electronically for direct deposit into the patient’s nominated bank account.
Patients are encouraged to discuss any billing or financial concerns with their doctor or the practice manager.

Our Fees

Any fee are payable at the time of consultation by cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card (we do not accept American Express). Your claim can be electronically transmitted to Medicare so that your rebate can be directly deposited into your bank account. If you are having any financial difficulties, please do not neglect your health. Discuss this with your doctor or the practice manager.

  • Patients may contact Medicare directly for further information regarding rebate processing
  • Pre-employment medicals
  • Insurance medicals
  • These services are privately billed and do not attract a Medicare rebate.
  • Eligible DVA patients are billed directly to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs
  • Patients are required to present their DVA card at each visit
  • After-hours rates apply before 8:00 am on weekdays
  • Medicare rebates may apply depending on eligibility and service type
  • Workers’ compensation consultations are billed at WorkCover-approved rates
  • Fees are payable at the time of consultation
  • Patients may be able to claim the full fee from WorkCover, subject to eligibility
  • Aged pensioners and Health Care Card holders may be offered a reduced fee
  • Patients are required to present their valid concession card at each visit
